The Big Nasty Hillclimb is an avid supporter of the AMA, the NAHA and the Blue Ribbon Coalition. We encourage all riders to support these organizations, as they provide the sport of hillclimbing with consistent set of competitive rules and standardized classes, and keep riding areas open to us all. As a sanctioning body, the NAHA selects events that meet with their level of competitive quality and spectator opportunities.

The Big Nasty Hillclimb is proud to be the 2007 NAHA Finals event, and we are thrilled that the NAHA and AMA are continuing to work together to create one, single unified national championship hillclimb series, likely in 2008 or 2009. Please check out the NAHA website for their other awesome events.

An AMA memebership is required to compete at all NAHA events, including the Big Nasty. You may join at the event, or by calling 1-800-ama-join. A one year membership is $39.00. NAHA membership is not required to compete, unless you are competing in one of the three pro main events on Sunday, the 0-450, 451-700 or 701-Open. You can purchase a 1-year, points-paying NAHA membership for $90 or a 1-year, non points-paying membership for $50. We wholeheartedly support the NAHA and the AMA and invite you to join and support the continued development of the sport of hillclimbing.
