2011 4-Wheeler Demos, Adventure Rides & Mud Drags

The Big Nasty ATV demo and Adventure Rides are designed to give people who want to bring their 4-wheelers out the Big Nasty Land, something fun and safe to do. They provide families and ATV riders a fun, low-spped way to see the beautiful, 1,000 acre Big Nasty Ranch, without interfering with other people's Big Nasty experience.

A new, 1-mile demo loop, located to the west of the campground, will give people a chance to test ride the great, new machines from Arctic Cat, Bombardier, Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki, Kawasaki and KTM. Treasure Valley dealers who are supporting this are: MotoTech, Carl's Cycle, Cycle City of Mountain Home and Edge Performance Sports in Ontario. Last year's 3-mile, guided "Adventure Ride" returns for those who want to ride their own machines on a fun, easy ride along the river and features some shade and tight woods sections. All of the Adventure Rides will be led by a guide and followed by a guide. Participants must obey the guides at all times and not exceed 15mph. The idea is to be safe and have tons of Big Nasty family fun! There is no cost to demo some new machines or participate in the Adventure rides. By offering these rides, and once again putting numbers on each machine, we will continue to eliminate the "mini bike and ATV racing" that has sometimes happened in the campground and pits.

Full-blown, D.I.R.T. sanctioned mud drags are replacing last years 4-wheeler mud bog. The mud drags will take place on a regulation-sized, 175-foot long, 18-inch deep mud pit and there will be classes and awards for all sizes of 4-wheelers, motorcycles, mini bikes, jeeps and trucks. Please see oour mud drag page for more information.

Big Nasty ATV and pit bike Rules and Regulations:

  1. Every 4-wheeler or pit bike that enters Big Nasty Land will be issued a number, even machines that do not participate in any Adventure Rides. This will be a paper number plate that the campground staff will zip tie or tape on the machine in a visible location. Any 4-wheeler operators at the event that do not have their number displayed will be required to park their machine until they get a number. You must display this number on your machine the entire time that you are at the Big Nasty.
  2. All ATV and pit bike riders MUST wear a helmet at ALL times. All machines MUST have spark-arrestors. All machines will be inspected to insure that they have a working spark-arrestor.
  3. Machines cannot exceed the 15mph speed limit in the campground or during the Adventure Rides. All riders adhering to the above rules may ride in the campground and participate in the Adventure Rides, but all ATV operators MUST sign a waiver, and ALL minors (those who are under 18) MUST have a parent or adult guardian sign a waiver for them. ALL ATV riders who are younger than 16 MUST be accompanied on an Adventure Ride by a parent or adult guardian. No passengers will be allowed on an ATV unless it is designed for passengers, and no ATV operators under the age of 16 will be allowed to carry a passenger, regardless of their ATV.
