NAHA Membership

North American Hillclimbers Association

AMA membership is no longer required to ride any class at the Big Nasty. However, our three professional classes are sanctioned by the NAHA (North American Hillclimb Association), and an NAHA license is required to ride those three pro classes (only). The NAHA provides the sport of professional hillclimbing with a consistent set of competitive rules and standardized classes and as a sanctioning body, the NAHA selects events that meet with their level of competitive quality and spectator opportunities. Again, ONLY riders competing in the 450, 700 and Open Pro classes have to be members of the NAHA. To get an NAHA license and to learn about their other events, please go to the NAHA website for more information.

We also support both the Blue Ribbon Coalition and the AMA, because they both are working hard to keep riding areas open. Please join both of these excellent land-use organizations if at all possible.
